قصة المسلسل

تدور احداث العمل حول حياة الملكة نازلي بداية من زواجها من الملك فؤاد واختيار البريطانيين له ليحكم مصر وكيف استخدمها كواجهة حضارية اثناء رحلته التاريخية الي اوربا عام 1972 لتتحدث عنها كل الصحف الفرنسية والانجليزية وتعلن عن انتهاء عصر الحريم في مصر علي الرغم من انها كانت في مصر في شبه عزلة عن مجريات الامور وكذلك دورها في تثبيت ابنها الملك فاروق علي العرش بعد وفاة والده ومحاولاتها في التأثير عليه وتوجيهه سياسيا الامر الذي يتعارض مع مصالح رجال الحاشية .
وكيف كانت الملكة نازلي تشارك أمراء وملوك أوروبا في احتفالاتهم مما أزعج الحكومة المصرية، وتتعرض الأحداث لعلاقة الملكة نازلي بأبنائها وبناتها والدفاع عنهم وعن مصالحهم، وزواج الملك فاروق من الملكة فريدة وبعد إنجاب فاروق للأميرة فريال تشعر الملكة نازلي بالقلق على ابنها والعرش وتتوالى الأحداث.
